You walk up to Becca and apologize for interrupting her work and ask if she’d mind helping you with something in the kitchen. You can see she is relieved and agrees to come help you.
When you get to the kitchen, you quietly let her know that you didn’t really need her help and just wanted to make sure she was okay. You let her know that you overheard her conversation with Tom and that you thought she seemed uncomfortable.
She thanks you for interrupting and confirms that she was uncomfortable. She then tells you this is not the first time Tom has asked her to get together outside of work. She lets you know that she has turned him down multiple times.
You suggest she let’s your supervisor know and inform her that you’d be willing to testify as a witness since you heard/witnessed the situation tonight.
Becca thanks you for being an Active Bystander and agrees to go to the supervisor tomorrow.
