Preventing and Addressing Sexual Harassment

Lesson Objectives:

• Employees will gain an understanding of their employers legal obligations in cases of sexual harassment in the workplace.
• Employees will become familiar with Illinois’ Sexual Harassment Resources.
• Employees will be able to demonstrate what it takes to be an active bystander by familiarizing themselves with the warning signs of sexual harassment in the workplace.
• Employees will be able to list the steps required of them and their employer should they be accused/accuse someone of sexual harassment in the workplace.
• Employees will be able to identify the liabilities and consequences of breaking state and federal laws regarding sexual harassment in the workplace.
