Bystander Scenario 2.1

Scenario: 

You continue prepping the vegetables for tomorrow as you begin listening more intently to Becca and Tom’s conversation. You notice ore silence than there was before and think they have gotten back to work. 

A few minutes goes by when you hear Tom bring up a new movie that is premiering next weekend.

Conversation: 

Tom: Have you heard about that movie premiere next weekend? 

Becca: Yeah, it’s all anyone has been talking about lately. 

Tom: Are you going to go? 

Becca: I don’t think so. I don’t go to premieres. 

Tom: That’s too bad. I was going to see if you wanted to go to the premier with me. 

Becca: Oh…Yeah…like I said, I don’t really do premieres. Thanks anyway.

Tom: Well, what about going to see it some other weekend? 

Becca: I’m not sure. I’m not too big on going to the movies. 

Tom: So, do you not like premiers or not like movies? 

Becca: ….Both I guess…

At this point you can hear that Becca is uncomfortable with this conversation.
