Who can be Sexually Harassed?

Anyone can be sexually harassed or be the perpetrator of sexual harassment in the workplace regardless of their position in the company, their sex, gender identity, or sexuality. Sexual harassment in the workplace can take place between two employees, an employee and a supervisor, and an employee and a client/customer. In California employees also include interns, volunteers, and independent contractors. 

Additionally, workplace Sexual Harassment can take place anywhere that work is being completed such as: 
  • In the workplace
  • During work-related travel
  • At any work-related event held outside the workplace.
