Sexual Harassment Response Scenario Part 2.1

Scenario:

Before launching his investigation into Becca’s claims of sexual harassment, the supervisor calls up Tom (the alleged perpetrator) and tells him to take a paid day off today. He does this so that he can investigate Becca’s claims without Tom retaliating against her.

The supervisor then calls James, the line cook who allegedly witnessed the harassment, into his office to get his side of the story. James’ story mirror’s Becca’s. As a result, the supervisor decides to watch the security camera footage from the night before and sees that Tom (the alleged perpetrator) does stay physically close to Becca and continues to stare at her until James comes out of the kitchen.

After viewing the footage, the supervisor holds multiple interviews with other employees to determine whether this type of harassment has been witnessed or experienced by anyone else. When he is satisfied that there is enough evidence of sexual harassment he calls Becca back into his office and informs her of his decision.
