Course Overview:
In this course you will be introduced to federal and California State Laws concerning the prohibition against, and the prevention and correction of, sexual harassment, and the remedies available to victims of sexual harassment.
This course satisfies California law (Government Code Section 12950.1)’s requirement of employers with more than 5 employees to provide their employees with sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training.
Course Objectives:
- Employees will gain an understanding of the federal and state definitions of Sexual Harassment as well as gain an understanding of the different types of sexual harassment.
- Employees will gain an understanding of the federal and state sexual harassment laws and the consequences of breaking those laws.
- Employees will gain an understanding of how they can prevent and address sexual harassment for themselves, their peers, and their supervisors.
- Employees will be able to demonstrate their understanding of what constitutes sexual harassment, how they can address sexual harassment, and the results of breaking sexual harassment policies by participating in multiple branching scenarios.
